Learn more about Executive function tutoringEach library sets its own rules for study rooms and tutoring, and I follow them. County library meeting rooms are not for paid tutoring. Farther than about 30 minutes from Lake Worth Beach, we meet online.
Local resources that pair well with tutoring. Check hours before you go.
I tutor West Palm Beach families in person when you live within about 30 minutes of Lake Worth Beach, and online anywhere in the city. Both formats follow the same lesson plan, with a monthly progress note and a fuller review every four weeks.
In-person sessions usually happen in your home. Online sessions are a good fit for busy weeks, older students, or days when I-95 traffic makes a drive hard to plan.
I serve families in the neighborhoods south of downtown, including El Cid, Flamingo Park, Grandview Heights, Mango Promenade, Bel Air, and Prospect Park and Southland Park. From Lake Worth Beach, most of these are reached by Dixie Highway or by I-95 at Forest Hill Boulevard, Southern Boulevard, or Okeechobee Boulevard.
North of downtown, I also serve Old Northwood, Northwood Hills, and Northboro Park. Those streets are a longer drive and may sit near the edge of my travel radius. If an in-person time does not work there, we meet online with no change to the lessons.
From home base, the county’s Main Library on Summit Boulevard is roughly 12 to 17 minutes away, and the Mandel Public Library on Clematis Street is roughly 15 to 25 minutes.
These are estimates for typical traffic, not promises, and rush hour can add time. For in-home sessions I do the driving, so your child can start on time without a car ride.
Some families prefer a quiet public space to a busy living room. West Palm Beach has two library options, and each one sets its own rules.
The Mandel Public Library lets cardholders reserve a study room online, with a daily time limit. The county’s Main Library has study rooms too, but they are first come, first served, and its meeting rooms are not for paid tutoring. If we try a library, we pick a backup spot in case a room is taken.
I am ESOL endorsed, and I teach reading and writing to children who are learning English. Lessons pair phonics with vocabulary and sentence practice, so new words make sense, not just sound right.
You do not need to speak English perfectly to be part of your child’s progress. I keep updates short and plain, and we can talk them through on a quick call.
Not sure which service fits, or whether your street is close enough for in-person sessions? A free 15-minute fit call answers both, and you will get my recommendation the same day.
Families in West Palm Beach with a Unique Abilities Scholarship (FES-UA) or a Personalized Education Program (PEP) account can often pay for tutoring through Step Up For Students, with direct pay in the Education Market Assistant (EMA). The rules are the same across Palm Beach County, and my independent guide explains them in plain language.
Often, yes, when the drive fits within my travel radius of about 30 minutes from Lake Worth Beach. Neighborhoods like Old Northwood and Northwood Hills are a longer trip, so some families there choose online sessions. We sort it out together on the fit call.
Possibly, if a study room is free and the library's rules allow it. Mandel study rooms are booked online with a Mandel library card, and a daily time limit applies. Home or online sessions are usually easier to keep on a steady schedule.
Yes. I work with children from public, private, and charter schools, and with homeschool families. With your permission, I am glad to share strategies with your child's teacher.
No. Step Up rules are the same across Palm Beach County. If your child has a Unique Abilities Scholarship (FES-UA) or a Personalized Education Program (PEP) account, you can often choose me in the Education Market Assistant (EMA), and I bill the scholarship directly at the same rate as private pay.
