Learn more about Reading and writing tutoringDelray Beach and Boca Raton are a longer drive from my home base in Lake Worth Beach, so I work with families here online first, with in-person meetups when the schedule allows. I teach reading, writing, and study skills. Families with a Unique Abilities Scholarship (FES-UA) or a Personalized Education Program (PEP) account can often pay through Step Up.

Learn more about Homeschool learning supportEach library sets its own rules, and I follow them. Boca Raton Public Library's tutoring policy does not allow payment on library property, so I do not hold paid sessions at its branches. My usual in-person radius is about 30 minutes from Lake Worth Beach.
Free library programs and a homeschool group in south county. Check each schedule before you go.
Measured to the public libraries in each city, Delray Beach is roughly 21 to 30 minutes from home base and Boca Raton roughly 28 to 42 minutes. These are estimates for typical traffic, and rush hour can add more.
That is at or past my usual in-person travel radius of about 30 minutes, so regular sessions here happen online. When the schedule allows, we can add an in-person meetup, such as a session to start the year or a progress check.
Online lessons follow the same plan as in-person ones: a quick check-in, review, explicit teaching, supported practice, and a short wrap-up with next steps. I share the screen for reading and spelling work, and younger kids often do best with a parent nearby at first.
You get the same monthly progress note and four-week review as in-person families. The teaching does not change; only the setting does.
Some families like to meet face to face now and then. The Delray Beach Public Library on West Atlantic Avenue has quiet study rooms that can be reserved by phone with a Delray library card.
In Boca Raton, the public library’s tutoring policy does not allow payment on library property, so I do not hold paid sessions there. We can pick another spot together, or stay online.
In Delray Beach, I serve families from Old School Square and Pineapple Grove to Lake Ida, Del-Ida Park, Nassau Park, and the Marina area. In Boca Raton, that includes Old Floresta, Camino Gardens, Pearl City, the blocks around Mizner Park, and West Boca.
Families near I-95 at Atlantic Avenue, Linton Boulevard, or Glades Road are the easiest to reach for an occasional meetup. Farther west, toward the Turnpike, online sessions are simpler for everyone.
Both cities’ libraries run free programs that pair well with tutoring. Delray Beach offers a Homework Helper program for grades K-5 and a Homework Center, and Boca Raton runs 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten for young children.
For homeschool and PEP families, CKC Boca Raton Co-op is a secular, outdoor co-op for ages 4 to 12. Online tutoring is easy to fit around co-op days, and the homeschool learning support page explains how it works.
A free 15-minute fit call is the easiest way to see whether online sessions suit your child. You will hear my recommendation the same day.
Families in Delray Beach and Boca Raton with a Unique Abilities Scholarship (FES-UA) or a Personalized Education Program (PEP) account can often pay for tutoring through Step Up For Students, with direct pay in the Education Market Assistant (EMA). The rules are the same across Palm Beach County, and my independent guide explains them in plain language.
Sometimes, when the schedule allows. Regular sessions happen online, and we can add an occasional in-person meetup, such as a progress check. We talk about what is realistic on the fit call.
Not for paid sessions. The Boca Raton Public Library's tutoring policy does not allow payment on library property, and I follow it. Its free programs, like 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, are still worth a look.
Often, yes. Lessons are short, hands-on, and broken into small steps, and a parent nearby helps for the first few sessions. If online is not working after a fair try, I will tell you honestly.
A laptop or tablet with a camera, a steady internet connection, and a quiet spot. Headphones help if the house is busy. We test the setup together before the first lesson.
